TAWNYA MICHELLE HOUGHTON
My name is Tawnya Houghton and my passion for continuous improvement is realized with the implementation of Action Research to support administrators, teachers and students. Currently I hold a Professional Teaching License with a Gifted and Talented Endorsement and a Principal license in the state of Colorado with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. My experience as an instructional coach, staff developer, assessment coordinator, RtI leader and interventionist provide a broad range of skills vital to supporting schools in their mission toward increasing student achievement. I have thorough differentiation experience both in programming and delivery. In addition, I am adept at facilitating meetings that maximize efficiency and outcomes. I have managed Literacy Plans for K-6 students by providing training in the process of summative and formative data collection, analysis and instructional programming recommendations based on student portfolios. I am known to advocate for teachers and partner with them through service leadership to coordinate both the adaptive and technical changes required to accelerate student’s literacy growth.
